Great rifle and never have had an issue, shooting with 8 grains of unique with 225 grn semi wadcutters. Browning should build a plant in Utah and make them there, as they own the rights to Winchester now. It too feeds with no problems but is more work to make. Factory triggers dont come much, if any, better than the k frames., I have to agree. I saw your reference to benighted states and then AR, AK. My lever is a Winchester in .45 Colt, for which you can not only reload, but you can reload pretty close to double the pressure of a handgun round, as long as you are using a modern rifle, and depending on the weight of the round. (See note on Powders below or read all about various Powders.) To reload the .357, a Lee Loader is all you need, plus a supply of primers, a pound of powder and bullets. It is easy to load moderately for closer range shots and lighter recoil. I will admit to some bias my first handgun was a S&W Model 19 and, for many years, it was my only handgun.
